Gettysburg

June 15, 2024

Took my first trip ever to the sacred battlegrounds of Gettysburg, the bloodiest battle of the Civil War. I have always been a huge history buff, and being able to see so much of our nations history in one place was incredible. We took a tour of the hundreds of monuments celebrating those who fought on the ground below our feet. Much of the cannons and equipment still present there today, the landscape forever scarred by what took place. We stayed at the Gettysburg hotel, built in 1796, said to be haunted by fallen soldiers, as is the case with the entire city. Though I did not see any ghosts this time around, heres hoping for the next visit!
